Melanie + Alex | Leslie Alford Mims House Wedding
Whew- I hope you found a comfy seat to look through these! The truth is that we had too many favorites, so we kept this blog post pretty long. Let us just start out by saying that Melanie and Alex are truly beautiful both inside and out. Photographing them was easy because they are just so genuine and laid back. Melanie and Alex actually live in San Diego, California, but planned their wedding at the Leslie Alford Mims House so they could be close to his family in North Carolina. Planning a wedding across the country is no easy feat- so its lucky they enlisted the help of the amazing Sweet Sarah Bell as their wedding planner.
Every little detail of this wedding was breathtaking – from the gorgeous outdoor reception, to the cakes, and the ceremony location. I loved every single part of Melanie’s bridal look. Total wowza! I’m a sucker for dark lipstick and as soon as she put that gorgeous lipstick on- the deal was sealed. Alex’s reaction made for one of my favorite first looks of all time. He couldn’t stop giggling he was just so happy. God, we love these guys.
Melanie and Alex held their ceremony outdoors with the beautiful Leslie Alford Mims House as their backdrop. They honestly could not have lucked out with more beautiful weather on their wedding day. The whole event, outside of the cocktail hour, was outdoors. We’re so happy their out of town guests got to enjoy this beautiful Spring day in North Carolina.
The newlyweds and their guests danced outside to a cool playlist including Houndmouth and Dr. Dog. We even took a couple recommendations from them and downloaded some new tunes. Guests danced their hearts out until it was time for the sparkler sendoff.
