The Grove Park Inn Wedding Venue

The Grove Park Inn is an amazing landmark hotel and wedding venue in Asheville, North Carolina. It’s situated on the edge of town, overlooking its own golf course and the surrounding mountains. However, despite its incredible location, what the Inn is most known for is its beautiful cozy architecture. The entire outside is made up of a large stone fortress, topped of with a red tile roof. Even inside, the cozy stone walls continue as you step into the lobby. Here, you will also find two giant fireplaces on either side of the room. You will even see that rocking chairs are conveniently placed in front of the fires, so you are all set to order a drink and cozy up to watch the fire or read a book.

Winter

The Grove Park Inn is particularly wonderful for a winter wedding. For example, many find that the cozy stone castle-like building is an excellent backdrop for your wedding. And over the weekend, guests can warm themselves by the giant fires or take pictures in front of the Christmas trees. Additionally, The Grove Park Inn is also known for their annual Gingerbread House contest. The contestants submit their entries early in December, and they are displayed within the hotel for all visitors to enjoy.

Leisure

The Grove Park Inn is a great place to get married as well because it is a place where your guests can take a long weekend getaway. The Grove Park Inn has an incredible spa- complete with more stone lined walls. It even has a hot tub with a waterfall going into it. This is something you don’t want to miss.

Of course there are also the views from the sunset terrace in the back of the Omni Grove Park Inn. This area is appropriately named as you can watch the sun set behind the mountains from here. For your wedding photos, it is the perfect place to catch some pictures with the gorgeous golden light before dusk. As a wedding photographer, I often take my couples to this spot- both for the views and for the lighting.

Wedding Ceremony and Reception areas

The Country Club

There are so many options for holding your ceremony and reception at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville!  One popular location is the Country Club. While most couples hold their ceremony outdoors, there is actually a very cute indoor area that can be used like a chapel as well. However, if opting for an outdoor wedding, you will love this beautiful spot. The patio looks out on the green golf course towards the sunset. Additionally, there is a large reception area indoors here as well if you prefer to do everything at one location. If you are looking for a more formal space, or prefer a more french look, then this one is for you. Both the inside and outside are designed in a very elegant way. This spot is a winner!

The Seely Pavilion

The Seely Pavilion is the newest wedding venue area at the Grove Park Inn. This area keeps in the style of the rustic stone and is also located much closer to the actual Inn. Additionally, this area has its own fireplace and plenty of floor to ceiling windows for natural light. It’s a really lovely location.

The Terraces

Both the Vanderbilt Terrace and Mt. View Terrace make for a lovely location for a smaller wedding. Both of these are next to the Sunset Terrace in the back of the Inn- but on opposite sides. In the mild months, either of these would be a gorgeous spot for an open air reception!
