Cori + Nic | Romantic Rainy Engagement

 

The morning of this session, Josh and I looked at the hourly forecast and it told us it would be nice and sunny all afternoon. We came early to E. Carroll Joyner Park with Migo to walk around and location scout and the sky was absolutely beautiful. Blue with big fluffy white clouds- my favorite. But then- no more than ten minutes after Cori and Nic arrived… total downpour!

The funny thing is that this weather almost perfectly recreated Cori and Nic’s first date. They told us they met up right here at E. Carroll Joyner Park and their date got rained out. We love when there is a unique, sentimental value added into our engagement sessions, and this one really hit the spot. You might think that with all this rain, Cori and Nic would call off the session and try to meet up another time. But not these two. These guys laughed it off and played in the rain. Josh and I could not be more thankful for that! While hair might get wet, and clothes get drenched, I honestly think there is nothing more romantic than a session in the rain.

At times the rain and wind picked up so much that we had to take cover under the barn for a minute. Other times, the clouds parted enough for the rains to stop. The evening’s storm clouds created the most beautiful skies. Cori and Nic, thank you so much for laughing through this adventurous engagement session! We cannot wait for your June wedding!
