Jen + Christiaan | Oaks at Salem Outdoor Wedding

What a wedding! Josh and I first met up with Jennifer in Chicago during one of our winter visits back home. She and Christiaan live North Carolina, but just like us, Jen’s family is in Illinois. It was wonderful to be able to meet her and her sweet mom while we were out there. Fast forward to this Spring, when we got to see Jen again and celebrate the big day with her and Christiaan. Jen and Christiaan were married on an absolutely gorgeous day at the Oaks at Salem. They were married outside in the new garden next to the lake. Everything was decorated with the most amazing florals- tulips in tall vases, colorful lush wreaths, you name it. Jen and Christiaan included a crowning ceremony in their nuptials, an interesting touch that we had never seen before- but would love to see again. These two beamed with happiness all day long. Seeing two people so perfect for each other fills my heart and I am just so happy to see that these two wonderful people found each other in this great big world. Jen danced her Jimmy Choos off all night (Yeah, I’m a shoe lover- its a Chicago thing) and as you can see from the pictures, everyone had a ton of fun! The kiddos really loved the DJ’s bubble machine. After a long night of dancing and celebrating, it was time to see these two off. Jen and Christiaan ran through a line of sparklers to their vintage getaway car. Thank you so much to you both for including us in this beautiful day!
