We stopped at Edisto Beach after a fun filled day at the Ersest F. Hollings Ace Basin National Wildlife Refuge. My friend has had dreams of setting up a hammock for nearly our whole cross country road trip, but consistent rain and chilly temps made that a less attractive option.  But those palm trees on Edisto Beach looked like the the perfect spot to hang one. And today it was sunny and warm!

Our hammock was provided by our friends at Bear Taco. These guys are a small family run business out of western North Carolina. They have all the works for overnight camping in their hammocks with blanket setups, but for now, we just set up the bare hammock. My friend  scouted out the perfect spot along the beach here he could hear the waves lapping ashore. It took only a few minutes to set up, then it was nappy time.

While my friend siesta-ed, Migo and I walked along the beach and threw the ball around. Migo was in heaven. Dusk fell as we left, but a roadside stop over the marsh gave us a great view of the colorful sunset. What a great way to end the day!

Thanks for reading! Still more pics of South Carolina to come :)
