Savannah, Georgia Historic District Riverfront Guide | Wedding & Honeymoon Destination

On the way home from Tampa,  I decided to stop at one of our favorite destinations in the South: Savannah, Georgia. Savannah is a very old town with some buildings dating back to the 1700’s, one of which is an old residence of Pirate Blackbeard. Savannah features charmingly aged brick buildings, and tall oak trees covered in Spanish Moss. It’s so easy to spend the day strolling around the city, looking at all the beautiful houses. I love to hang around the riverfront area with no particular agenda. Mostly we just take photos and people watch. We were only able to spend one night there this time, but we did capture some of my favorite photos. We always enjoy our visits to Savannah and hope to return soon. On our way home we headed up to Hilton Head to visit with our good friends vacationing there. The next chance we get to leave Raleigh for a few days, you better believe we’ll be heading to Savannah. Maybe we will even get to photograph a wedding in Savannah one day!
