An Engagement Session with your Furry Friend

Looking through our blog, you have probably figured out that Josh and I are animal lovers. We love dogs, cats, horses, you name it. We especially love to photograph animals and capture their personality. So when we get a couple who wants to include their dog in their wedding or engagement session, we get really excited! However, sometimes even the cutest pets can be hard to photograph if they won’t sit still. Here are some simple things to remember to help make your engagement photos turn out.

1. Get them good and exhausted before the session. A tired dog is a good dog, so he won’t be trying to run off while we are trying to get your picture together.
2. Bring lots of treats! After all, we want him to know what a good boy he’s being!
3. Be prepared to take frequent breaks. Even the best behaved dog can only handle so much sitting in one place so we’ve gotta let him stretch his legs.
4. Animals need to look their best too! My Migo looks so handsome with a bandana around his neck and your little guy probably does too! Sweaters can also be cute if that’s your style.

Here’s a few of our favorite pet pictures that we’ve taken. We just had to slip a photo in of our favorite little dog Migo. ;)
